Hey...
I heard on the radio the other day that only one out of Three Americans know the Star Spangled Banner.... Jose' can you see? Well,, I secretly sung it through (to make sure I knew it) and was surprised as I muttled my way through a lot of words I thought I knew... OK you try it and see... You may wonder at some point "who brought stripes and bright stars?" Well the flag did... so that must be right! Hellooo... Whose broad stripes and bright stars... anyway'ssss for those of you that muttle threw the words like I do and everyone else is carrying us, here are the words... Don't let you be of the 2/3rds !!!!!
Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
Did any words surprise you?
There are three other verses that are awesome you can read at WCSG.ORG ,, click the morning show and the rest is there...
